What an incredible journey!
Being Chairwoman at the CX Retail Exchange on November 5-6 in Lisbon was a truly unforgettable experience! Just like training for a marathon, I crafted a “to-do list” of essentials to guide me through this exciting role:
- Role & Responsibilities:
- Keep discussions lively, sessions on track, and audiences engaged.
- Introduce brilliant speakers and facilitate Q&A with a seamless flow.
- Preparation:
- Connect with speakers beforehand, outline session formats, and prepare for any low audience engagement with thought-provoking questions.
- Always stay true to the event’s mission and ensure each session fits into the larger program.
- On the Day:
- Manage time with precision and keep energy high, encouraging dynamic audience participation.
- Success Tips:
- Bring creativity to every presentation to elevate engagement.
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that amplifies every voice.
- Facilitate each session to be an exceptional experience for both speakers and attendees.
As with any marathon, preparation was key!
Knowing the field (retail, brand, marketing, CX, AI), managing potential challenges, and building in moments to recharge all made a difference.
Thankfully, I had an outstanding support team and met with the speakers beforehand to set the stage for success.
And it worked!
Every session drew high engagement, minor issues were seamlessly managed, networking breaks were buzzing with energy, and everything flowed beautifully.
For my first experience as Chairwoman, I’m thrilled—tired but so satisfied.
I left with fresh perspectives and new connections, ready for the next adventure.
